William Joseph "Bill" Morin was born on April 8, 1945, in Queens, New York, and passed away in Crescent City, California, on June 29, 2023. Bill was a man best described as a man of generous spirit, sharp intelligent, and funny.
Before moving west to California in the 1970s, his professional journey began in the printing press business in New York. After his move, he took on a managerial and dispatching role at Sunnyvale Cab Company. He later studied and worked as an appliance technician in the Bay Area. Bill's final work journey, which he often referred to as his favorite, was as a contractor performing voice and data cabling and phone installations for various Silicon Valley firms such as HP and Quantum.
Bill was a man of many interests. He was a dedicated Nascar, Yankees, and football enthusiast. His love for sports was only surpassed by his love for helping others. After retiring in 2007, Bill devoted his time to assist those he cared about, always ready to lend a helping hand. He fell in love with Del Norte in 2005, and in his retirement, he enjoyed working in his yard at his home in Crescent City, a place he cherished deeply.
Bill is survived by his wife, Martha Morin, and his brothers and sisters-in-law: Mario Solis, Florence Fox, Edward and Barbara Solis, Sarah and Bob Jaramillo,Fernando and Marianne Solis, Danny and Cyndi Solis, Hiram and Jovi Solis. He was a beloved uncle to his nieces and nephews: Michael, Amy, Christina, Eddie, Ashly, Juan, Marc, Joshua and David. He also held a special place in his heart for his great-nieces and nephews: Alyssa, Jackson, Logan, Maylene and Juan Jr.
In summary, Bill Morin was a man who lived his life to the fullest. He loved his family deeply, found joy in his work, and cherished his interests.
