Memories & Tributes

Bill was a good friend and member of the Old Coots on Scoots motorcycle club and will be dearly missed. He went on many rides with us and took his favorite position at the back of the pack whenever possible. He was always very positive and fun to be around. His mechanical skills came in handy more than once as he was always willing and ready to offer his help, which was greatly appreciated. We were honored to have known Bill for the short time we have. We met him thru the Old Coots Motorcycle Group. Bill was in the habit of stopping and picking up items that flew off of my motorcycle (such as bandanas, lunch box, etc). Poor Bill, ha! He was such a gentleman in so many ways. He used to hang toward the end of the pack when riding and took care of folks in so many ways. He had a ton of wisdom to share as well. I will always remember that he mentioned that it takes only a few pebbles on the road to cause a bike to skid. His stories were always a delight - even though some ended up pretty gruesome (like the time he crashed near The Dalles and his lip was left hanging, ugh!). He looked like a pumpkin when he wore his orange rain gear but by golly he was the only one that was dry! Yep we will miss him terribly as he added life to any gathering he attended. May the family and friends find comfort in knowing that Bill lived life to the fullest! Sincerely, Mary & Doug Taylor
