Obituary
Warren John Moell, 90, of Grants Pass, OR, passed away June 2, 2022. Born 10/30/1931 in Eugene, OR, he spent 4 years in the Air Force, then worked for the Federal Aviation Administration for 34 years as the facilities manager. Warren had a successful career managing radar sites in Salt Lake City, UT; Red Bluff, CA, and the last 13 years above the Klamath River site. In 1992 he was awarded Sector of the Year for no facility outages at the radar site. Warren was on the Del Norte County Airport commission and helped facilitate the new Airport Terminal. He was also instrumental in the building of the divider that goes up Crescent City Hill on HWY 101 which helped in preventing head-on collisions.
He was married to Norma Fay Moell (Quinby) and together had 5 children. He is survived by his 5 children, 4 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren. Children include Theresa Marie Moell, Chico, CA, Anthony Patrick Moell, Crescent City, CA, Michael Thomas Moell, Red Bluff, CA, Elizabeth Ann Moell, Medford, OR, and Victoria Ruth Moell, Brookings, OR. Grandchildren include Eric Eugene Moell, San Diego, CA, Mattheu Daniel Fredson, Chico, CA, Emily Anne Moell, Berkley, CA, and John Anthony Moell, Redding, CA. His great-grandchildren are Fiona Brynn Moell and Teagan Maris Moell, of San Diego, CA and Andru Claudet Fredson, Chico, CA.
