Obituary
Wanda Joyce Herring passed away peacefully at Brookwood Baptist Medical Center, Princeton on her 61st birthday. Anyone who knew Wanda knew of her love of music, animals, and her grandkids. She was a great cook, she loved to throw darts, play card games, play the the piano, make her own candles and go to the drag races at Holiday Beach. She spent most of her time helping her friends, neighbors and family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Allen & Dorothy Durough; her biological mother, Mary Katherine Finerty Parker and her grandparents, James & Elizabeth Durough, and Medrith & Dorothy Clark, her biological grandparents Lloyd and OlaMae Finerty and Dewey and Hattie Bell Parker. Fun and loving memories will be cherished by her husband, Tommy Herring, her step daughter, Janet Vines (Jason), step grand children, Nicole McCollum (Nathan), Tyler Williams (Kali) and Aiden Cason: sisters, Robbie Davis and Kathy Matthews (Sam): brother, Bob Parker; nephew, Andrew Thomaston (Dana); niece, Allison Montgomery and Uncle Lloyd "Sonny" Finerty and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Wanda's humor, warmth, and generous spirt will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
