Obituary

Violet Rozeske passed away peacefully in her sleep on September 11, 2012 in Sacramento, CA. Violet was born on May 11, 1924 in Idaho Falls, Idaho. She lived in Crescent City for 61 years before moving to be with her family in Walnut Grove, CA.

She worked as a cook at Redwood Union Elementary School and Del Norte High School for several years and also at WalMart. She and her husband were known for catering weddings and special events throughout Del Norte County. She loved the beach, gardening, miniatures, and traveling.

Violet is survived by her daughters Eileen (Edward) McDowell and Linda (Carlos) Munoz, both of Walnut Grove, CA. Grandchildren Michael (Amber) McDowell of Walnut Grove, CA and Michelle (Clint) Copeland of Acampo, CA. Three great-grandchildren Troy Copeland, Zackery Copeland, and Sierra McDowell. Niece Sarah Fowler of Central Point, OR.

Violet was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Clarence "Rosie" Rozeske, sisters Darlene Johnson and Lois Riddle, and nephew Chris Riddle.
