Obituary
If it was up to my
mom, she would have just written “she died”. Venita was the daughter of Norman
and Maurice Bush. She lived in Del Norte County most of her life, but moved to
Minot, North Dakota to live with her daughter and grandchildren for the past
year. I could go on and on about family and who is survived, but all that stuff
can be googled, or perhaps ancestry.com.
Venita was an
incredible person who had a good life and was loved by many. She was a hard
worker and instilled a good work ethic in her children, and grandchildren.
Venita had a wicked sense of humor and loved to laugh (thus the not so serious
obituary).
The one incredible
trait she had was that Venita was a fighter. She took trials and tribulations
head-on, and quitting was never an option. She proved this, as she battled
cancer for twelve years! She took chemo, radiation, and two brain surgeries and
basically told cancer to go “beep” yourself. That’s right she was not going
down without a fight and this determination is her legacy that she leaves her
loved ones.
So for those who
knew Venita, know that we don’t mourn her, but we celebrate her and her life.
Until we meet again, may your memory be eternal!!
