Timothy John Schmitt

Timothy was born in Portland, Oregon to Walter Albert Schmitt and Paula Jewell Schmitt (Mollahan). Tim grew up in Damascus, Gresham and Sandy and graduated from Barlow High School in 1981. At Barlow, he played football and wrestled, forging friendships that lasted his entire life. 

After college, Tim attended Mt. Hood CC, Eastern Oregon University and graduated with a teaching degree from Warner Pacific University. Tim worked many years at Ennis Business Forms before moving to Tri Met and eventually retiring as a Light Rail Mechanic. 

Some of Tim’s fondest memories were formed spending 2 summers in Cap-Haitian, Haiti and one in Honduras with Teen Missions International. 

Tim never married, but is survived by many family members. Brothers Nathan (Stephanie) and Joseph (Deanna) and sister Elizabeth (Wayne) as well as their children. He was preceded in death by his parents, Deanna, brothers David and Stephen and sister Debbie. 

His nieces and nephews include Daniel, Jonathan, Caleb, Mark, Benjamin, Peter, Jesse, Bridgette, Timothy, Patrick, Lydia, Paul and Joshua.
