Obituary
Tamara L. Chaffins, Indianapolis, passed away on Wednesday, January 24, 2024. She was 56 years old. Tamara was born in Indianapolis Indiana to her parents George and Patricia O’Dell. She earned her GED from John Marshall. Tamara married her husband, Randy Chaffins, on September 19, 1993 and they shared over thirty years of marriage together.
Tamara worked as a general associate for Walmart for over twenty years of service. Tamara enjoyed collecting Coca Cola memorabilia as well as dragon and tiger figurines. She was a fan of the Indianapolis Colts, Dallas Cowboys, Godzilla movies,and classic sitcoms. Tamara enjoyed going all out on her holiday decorations for both Halloween and Christmas. She enjoyed camping with her family and basking in the beauty of nature as often as she could. Tamara loved animals and filled her home with big dogs for her family to care for. Tamara’s strong willed and loving nature will be dearly missed by those she leaves behind.
Tamara is survived by her husband, Randy Chaffins; her children, Lewis Chaffins, Sabrina (Jacob) Austin and William Chaffins; her siblings, Brian O’Dell and Scott O’Dell; her step niece, Miranda; her aunts, Marilyn and Phyllis.
Tamara is preceded in death by her parents and her grandparents
A visitation for Tamara will be held on Friday, February 2, 2024 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Burial will immediately follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens at 1:00 pm.
