Rhonda would like to thank these three departments specifically for all the love and support they have shown her.
Steve always told Rhonda that he was fortunate enough to have two loves in his life. He used to tell her Christy Dodd was his first love and that Rhonda is and will always be his last love and that he couldn’t imagine his life without either one of them. He also was very fortunate to have a lifelong friendship with Carol Watkins Riney and Shawna Ellis. They never lost touch and they both were with Steve until the day of his passing.
His wife would like to thank the UAB Cardiac Care Unit and the wonderful team of doctors and nurses that did everything humanly possible to make him better. She would like to thank the nurses, Julie, Brittany, and Michelle specifically for keeping him comfortable when he left this earth to make his journey to be with his father and his big granny. Rhonda would also like to than her partner, Mattew Waldrep, her supervisor, Brandon “Bopper” James and everyone at the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office for all their love and support during the last year.
