Obituary
Shirley Lucia Hogue, Greenwood, IN, passed away on Friday, February 2, 2024. She was 89 years old. Shirley was born in Beech Grove, IN to her parents Jacob and Caroline Francis. She graduated from Sacred Heart High School in 1952. Shirley married her husband, Robert Hogue, on June 21, 1975 and they shared 29 years of marriage together until Robert passed away on November 4, 2004.
Shirley worked as an executive secretary for Indiana Gas Safety Department and retired after over ten years of service. Shirley was a lifelong member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Shirley loved animals including a variety of dogs, birds, squirrels, rabbits and many other woodland creatures. Shirley had a fun loving demeanor that was complimented by her motherly nature. She will be dearly missed by those she leaves behind.
Shirley is survived by her children, Sherri (Michael) Inman, Michael “Mike” Bowman, and Jeff (Angela) Bowman; many other family members.
Shirley is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert Hogue; her grandchildren, Matthew Bowman and Brayden Inman; her siblings, Gene Francis, Mary Cox, and Ramona Cress; her daughter-in-law, Susan “Sandy” Bowman.
A visitation for Shirley will be held on Monday, February 5, 2024 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. The funeral service will be on Monday, February 5, 2024 at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at 10:00 am.
