Shirley Virginia Duncan
July 30, 1931 ~ January 13, 2024 (age 92)
Shirley S. Duncan, of Sale Creek, Tennessee went to be with her Lord and Savior on January 13th 2024. She was 92.
Shirley was born on 7/30/1931 in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Her family relocated and moved to Hamilton County when she was 13 years old. She was of the Christian faith. Shirley attended and graduated from Kirkman High School in 1949. She spent many years working as an Optician. Shirley enjoyed gardening and traveling with her sisters.
She is preceded by her parents, Clinton (Bessie) Sessions; husband, Charles Duncan; brother, Hosea Sessions; sisters, Evelyn Mangrum and Betty Wilson; grandsons, Shane Seals and Pont Carlisle.
Shirley is survived by her daughters, Beverly (Jerry) Seals and Mary Ann (Lloyd) Melton; sons, Donald Carlisle and Paul Duncan; sisters, Kathleen (Carl) Hamilton, Ann Norris, Elsie Smith and Sharon Morgan; brother, Clinton (Dot) Sessions Jr.; 11 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and extended family.
The family will host a visitation on Thursday, January 18th 2024 between the hours of 10:00 am- 1:00 pm. The service will be held at 1:00 pm in the chapel with Tony Reavley officiating. The burial service will immediately follow at Hamilton County Memorial Park. Serving as pallbearers will be Travis Seals, P.J. Duncan, Zander Duncan, Braylen Day, Tristen Jackson and Ethan Seals.
