Sharon Lee Guinn, a faith-filled, loving, and courageous woman, passed away peacefully from natural causes on August 2, 2023, in Crescent City, CA. Born on July 24, 1943, in Inglewood, CA, Sharon lived a life full of devotion, resilience, and love.
After graduating high school, Sharon embarked on a career path that demonstrated her dedication to helping others. She served her community for over 25 years as a dietary aide at Seaside and then Sutter Coast Hospital. Sharon was known for her hard work and commitment, all while raising her beloved son, Anthony Marcum, as a single mother. Her strength and determination were an inspiration to all who knew her.
Sharon was a woman of many passions. She loved assembling puzzles and doing word searches, activities that reflected her patience and attention to detail. Sharon also had a unique love for music boxes, a testament to her appreciation for beauty and melody. She was a frequent visitor to the local thrift store, where she loved to discover hidden gems.
As her health began to decline, Sharon found joy in watching game shows and a variety of movie genres. She always had a knack for trivia and a love for storytelling, qualities that made her a delight to be around. Her spirit remained strong and her sense of humor intact, even in her later years.
Sharon was predeceased by her husband, John Guinn, but their love story remains an enduring legacy. Her brother, Jack Robinson, will remember her fondly as a sister who was always there with a comforting word and a listening ear. She leaves behind her son, Anthony Marcum, who was the center of her world and the source of her greatest pride.
Sharon's life was guided by her faith, which provided her with strength and comfort throughout her life. She faced every challenge with courage and optimism, and she loved unconditionally and without reservation. Those who knew Sharon were touched by her kindness and her unwavering belief in the goodness of others.
