Obituary

Roy Allen Sopha, 82, born on January 22, 1940 in Yuba City, California passed away June 18, 2022 in Crescent City, California. He passed away at his daughter Ronda’s home after enduring a long illness. Roy passed comfortably in his sleep. He was surrounded by loved ones at the time of his passing.

He retired from the City of Yuba City, CA. where he was employed as a Public Works Superintendent. Roy was respected and admired by many.

He was preceded in death by his wife Geneva Sopha and his parents, Allen J Sopha, born in Yuba City CA., and his mother, Alice “Parks” Sopha, born in New Mexico as well as his three sisters and one brother.

Surviving relatives are daughters Ronda Sopha Kelley and Rose Sopha Gherts, their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Roy also has many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Roy was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather great grandfather and Uncle. He was devoted to his family and cared for his wife until she passed in June 2020

Roy loved being outdoors, traveling, camping, hunting, and fishing.

Our Hero, Roy Sopha, will live on in our hearts and wonderful memories forever.

Rest In Peace Daddy.
