Obituary
Robert H. Schrader Jr., Bob to all, passed away suddenly on Thursday, January 18, 2024, at the age of eighty-one. Bob was a beloved friend to all that knew him. It comes with deep heartache to share this news of his passing.
Bob was born on August 7, 1942, in Bridgeport, CT to Robert H. Schrader and Mary R. Schrader. At a young age, Bob moved to California where he graduated from Belmont High School. After high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Army. He proudly served his country which included a tour in Vietnam and was a decorated Vietnam Veteran. After the U.S. Army, Bob moved to Oregon in the early 1970’s where he spent his career working as a hydraulic specialist. In the mid 1980’s, prior to retirement, he moved to the Mt. Hood area where he was given the nickname Mountain Bob. He enjoyed working with wood and building all types of things. He spent many hours remodeling his home, helping friends and neighbors with projects and splitting firewood by the cords.
Bob is preceded in death by his mother and father.
He is loved and treasured by all who knew him and is remembered with a deep sense of gratitude and affection by all those lives he touched. His memory will forever be kept alive in our hearts and souls.
