Obituary

Rita G. Koomler, 95, passed away on December 18, 2023. She was born in Monroeville, IN on February 21, 1928, a daughter of the late John and Lucy Diver. 

Rita worked at Magnavox until her retirement. She was a past member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. 

She is survived by children, Doug (Diana) Koomler, Dennis (Diane) Koomler, Brad (Cheryl) Koomler, Mark (Bonnie) Koomler; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren, and son-in-law, Ron McConnehey.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Lloyd Koomler; daughter, Brenda McConnehey; grandson, Neil McConnehey; and siblings, Norbert, Bill, Johnny, Loretta and Evelyn.

A funeral service will be held at 1 pm on Friday, December 22, 2023 at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Rd., Ft. Wayne, IN 46804. 

Visitation will be held from 10 am to 1 pm also at the funeral home.

Burial will take place in Covington Memorial Gardens, Fort Wayne, IN. 

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church.
