Obituary

Richard “Rick” Earl Sherwood, 68, passed away on December 5, 2021 in Crescent City, California. He was born July 30, 1953 in Kansas City, Missouri.

Rick graduated from Arroyo Grande High School and shortly after joined the USAF. Following his military service, he became an electrician and worked for the Palm Springs Unified School District.

He was a master at anything he did, from carpentry to car and boat repair. He had a heart of gold and would help anyone. Rick was a loving family man, mentor, and teacher. He recently moved from Redding to Crescent City to fulfill his dream of living on the coast and fishing.

Rick is survived by his wife of 43 years, Carol Sherwood, his daughter Kristin Sherwood, his sisters Cathy McBeth, her husband John and Marcia Sherwood.
