Obituary
Philip Calvin Dailey, died July 22nd, 2022, after a long battle with brain disease. Born in San Francisco, CA, he grew up in Denny, CA and Selma, OR.
He started working in Del Norte County in 1965, working on rebuilding roads after the 1964 flood. He moved to Del Norte County permanently in 1966 and spent most of his life working in the lumber industry in several mills in Del Norte and Curry counties.
Philip retired in 2009 and spent his time in nature as much as he could, hiking the various trails in and around Del Norte County; as well as sections of the Pacific Crest Trail, which he had a dream to eventually complete entirely, one little section at a time.
He spent many years donating his time to Wild Feline Rescue, and only stopped when his illness prevented him from continuing.
Philip is survived by his son, Todd Dailey, son, Troy Dailey and wife Barbara; and four grandchildren, Cade Dailey, Connor Dailey, Jacob Dailey and Kiera Dailey.
