Obituary

Heaven has welcomed a new Angel!
With love, friends and family honor the life and recent passing of Patricia (Pat) Bieber. Born June 9th 1935, Patricia Pletz was born on a Lakefield, Minnesota farm. She spent her days working, being adventurous, and compassionate to others. Her parents, Peter and Suzan, instilled in her and her siblings (Paul, Philomine, Peter Jr., Pauline, and Phllip) quality attributes of appreciating family, engaging in community, and hard work. Lakefield is also where she met her cherished husband of 65 years, LeRoy. Together they shared a passion for traveling the world, enjoying friends, educating at the local high school and, raising an active family.
Pat received her teaching credential at Minnesota State University, Mankato. With her adventurous spirit, she (and Roy) moved to Del Norte County in 1961. Pat taught Home Economics, Typing, and English for 28 years at Del Norte High School. She loved teaching life skills, and exemplified the benefits of vocational education. While teaching, she was surrounded by an amazing staff, who became life-long friends. She balanced her career, while dedicating herself to raising and supporting her five children.
She is survived by her husband, LeRoy, sister Philomine, her children Brian and his wife Sherri and son: Adam, Bridgette and her husband Gary and 3 children: Lauren, Andrew and Adam, Brad and 2 children: Cade and Genevieve, Brett and son: Sequoia, and Branden and his wife Angelina and 2 children: Augustus and Alexander. Later in life, she enjoyed spoiling all of her nine grandchildren (Lauren, Andrew, Genevieve, Sequoia, Cade, Adam, Augustus, Adam and Alexander). She loved being a Grandma!
At every stage in her life, Pat was always sewing garments, gardening, dancing, photographing her travels and family, collecting angels, and catering to a full table of cheerful family and friends. Her gift of hospitality was well known. She enjoyed going to Sunday church, visiting friends and family, volunteering at Easter Seals, celebrating the women of the Red Hat Club, played BUNKO, and loved group Pinnacle.
Pat was devoted to her Catholic faith. She was forever optimistic, quick to forgive, compassionate and caring to everyone. She was a woman of celebrated wit, wisdom and integrity. Pat’s smile could light up a room, but the dance floor is where she shined brightest.
We celebrate Pat’s wonderful Christian life. We acknowledge, and are grateful for the lifetime of friendships that made her journey rewarding and complete.Pat loved doing random acts of kindness. Please remember Patricia Bieber, and do the same! As a family, we praise the heavens for being graced with this Earth Angel. Pat loved Angels and loved collecting Angels, now she’s soaring above the clouds.
