Obituary
Patricia “Trish” Fairchild LeBlanc, 71, of Palm Beach Gardens, FL passed away at home on April 10th after her seventh and final battle with cancer. She transitioned peacefully with her husband and daughter by her side.
Born on November 5th, 1952, Trish was raised in Mt. Vernon, OH. Her kindness and dedication to helping others was evident from a young age. As a volunteer candy striper in an Ohio hospital, she walked to work although her toe had been stepped on by a horse and was likely broken. After moving to Florida in 1977, Trish worked as a dialysis nurse for 13 years before spending the remainder of her career as a Registered Nurse providing home healthcare.
Trish will lovingly be remembered as having a calm, peaceful presence, positive attitude, and great love of nature. In addition to being a voracious reader, Trish enjoyed spending time with her husband, family, close friends, and the bunnies in her yard.
Trish is preceded in death by her father, Richard Eugene Fairchild and mother, Edith Fairchild (Gilmore). In addition to her friends, she will be missed by her husband of 40 years, John LeBlanc; daughter, Julienne LeBlanc, and her fiancé, Brian Dunnigan; sisters, Melissa (Tim) Emch, Nancy (David) Choquette, and Linda Fairchild; brother, Larry Fairchild; nieces, Megan Emch, and Kali Choquette; and aunt, Velma “Jane” Fairchild.
The family would like to thank Dr. Vatigunta of Florida Cancer Specialists, the medical teams at Baptist Health and the Miami Cancer Institute, and Vitas Hospice, who provided compassionate care and comfort until her passing.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. To honor her love of animals, those who wish may make memorial donations in Trish’s name to Loggerhead Marine Life Center (Juno Beach, FL), and Busch Wildlife Sanctuary (Jupiter, FL).
