Obituary

Patricia “Pat” Ann Clark, Rock Hill, SC, passed away on Friday, April 12, 2024. She was 83 years old. Pat was born in Greenwood, IN to her parents Raymond and Fern Phelps. She graduated from Southport High School, class of 1958, and went on to graduate from business school. Pat married her high school sweetheart Charles William Roembke, right after they graduated from school and were blessed with three children, Melissa Ann Roembke, Raymond Andrew Roembke and Charles William Roembke Jr. They shared 11 years together until Charles passed away in 1969. Later, Pat went on to marry her husband, Gary Clark, and they shared 34 years of marriage together until Gary passed away in 2015.
Pat worked at Sears and Roebuk as an accounts clerk and then went on to hold the Secretary position for North Grove Elementary and retired after 13 years of service. Pat was a member of Edgewood Methodist and Smith Valley Methodist Church for many years. Pat enjoyed going boating and fishing with her family. Pat was fortunate to be able to travel throughout her life and thoroughly enjoyed her visits to Florida. In her spare time, Pat enjoyed crafting, painting and light woodworking. Pat had a contagious smile and an uplifting personality. Her quirky laugh and family-oriented nature will be dearly missed by those she leaves behind.
Pat is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Melissa Ann Roembke and Steve Mosier of Mauldin, SC, her son and daughter-in-law Charles (Heather) William Roembke Jr of Rockhill, SC; her grandchildren: Patti Whitman of Indianapolis, IN, Rebecca (Bruce Lee) Slyder Of Mauldin, SC; Aaron (Kelsey) Roembke of Durham, NC, Claire Rose-Marie Roembke of Athens, GA; her great grandchildren, Mckenzie Necessary of Mauldin, SC, Brooke Wilson of Mauldin, SC , Alexis Whitman (Dominic Heart, Fiancee) of Hamilton OH, Carly Whitman, Bailey Whitman, Kingston Jack all from Indianapolis, IN; her great great grandchild, Amara Ayne Heart, of Hamilton, OH
Pat is preceded in death by her parents; Raymond and Fern Phelps; her child Raymond Andrew Roembke; her brother, Gene Phelps.
A Funeral Service for Pat will be held on Thursday April 17th at Forest Lawn Funeral Home from 12:00 pm -1:00 pm. Burial will immediately follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
