Obituary

Pansie Jane Sluss, 84, widow of Claude Marcus Sluss earned her wings on May 21, 2024. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Emma and Clyde Robert Jones; her son Edgar Lee Fulton “Buster”; five step children, Patty Buchanan, Claude Allan Sluss, Marcus Sluss, Mary Lockett and Bonnie Shephard.


She will be missed and remembered by her surviving children, Lilburn Siner, James Siner, Ronnie Sluss and wife Tammy Sluss. She also leaves behind 14 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. She worked at Lakeside until they closed and went to work at Kmart until she retired. In January of 2023 she moved to Florida, where she was living at the time of her death. She loved all her pets and referred to them as her babies.


Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, June 3, 2024 in Old Dominion Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Sunday, June 2, 2024 at Simpson Funeral Home, 5160 Peters Creek Road.
