Obituary

Opal Molene Bishop, age 93, of Nettleton, passed away Sunday, April, 14, 2024 at Northwest Medical Center in Amory . She was born September 9, 1930 to Hoyle Price Bennett and Rachel Mills Bennett. She was a member of Palestine Baptist Church and was a part of the WMU. She enjoyed collecting red birds and working in her yard.
She is survived by her son, Jerry Bishop (Pat) of Nettleton; and sister, Nell Sargent of Bigbee. 
She is preceded in death by her husband, John Thomas Bishop “Bud”; two sons, Tommy Bishop and Donnie Bishop; four brothers, Tinze, Charlie, Randal, and Bonnie Bennett; and two sisters, Willa Mae Ratliff and Twilla Edwards. 
Funeral service will be at 2:00 pm Wednesday, April, 17, 2024 at Lee Memorial Funeral Home with Bro. Anthony Simmons officiating.  Burial will follow in Jones Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at the funeral home. Lee Memorial Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
