Obituary
Nova Jarvis, age 94, passed away on March 19, 2024 at her home surrounded by family. She was born on August 26, 1929 in Frazer, Kentucky (Wayne County) and was the daughter of Beckam and Alma Bertram.
Nova was a woman of many talents and had a huge heart for helping others. She loved gardening, crocheting blankets, canning, and collecting porcelain dolls. She was a member at First Baptist Church in Muncie. Nova loved her family and her grandkids. She was also well known for her delicious green beans and her strawberry jam.
Nova is survived by her sons Harold Williams, Jerry Williams (Pam), and Mike Williams (Becky); a brother Fount Bertram (Anna); several nieces and nephews; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; and her cat Sunshine.
Nova was preceded in death by her parents Beckam and Alma Bertram; husband Howard Jarvis; sisters Jean Smith, Betty Cody, and Bessie Garrett; Daughter-in-law Brenda.
Services for Nova will be held on Monday March 25, 2024 at Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 N State Road 3 Muncie, Indiana 47303. Visitation will take place from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM with a funeral service to begin at 2:00 PM. Burial will take place at Gardens of Memory Cemetery after the funeral service. Memorial contributions may be given to First Baptist Church, 309 E Adams St, Muncie, IN 47305.
