Obituary

Norvin Fontaine Vernon passed away February 15, 2021, due to cardiac arrest. He was 76.

Norvin was born on January 7, 1945, to parents Warren and Mary (Davies) Vernon in Decatur, Alabama. He graduated from Point Loma High School in San Diego in 1963 and served in the Army for two years, stationed in Germany. He attended San Diego State College and at the same time worked for the city of Sand Diego, a job he held for almost 20 years. Then he moved to Oregon with his family where he worked for the US Postal Service for 15 years until he retired.

Norvin is survived by his wife, Annabelle and his 3 children Rebekkah, Warren and Erik. Also, two sisters: Margaret (Art) Bolic, and Linda (Pat) Russell.

He enjoyed spending time outdoors, including camping, backpacking, hiking, canoeing, and kayaking. He was an avid collector of war history and memorabilia and loved visiting National Parks.

Norvin was buried at Willamette National Cemetery.
