Obituary

Nora A. Treviño, 67, passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2023 in Fort Wayne, IN. She was born in Fort Wayne, IN to Joe A. and Pura (Musi) Treviño. Nora worked for the City of Fort Wayne in various roles from 1976 to 2020, including FWCS, Water Maintenance and Emergency Medical Dispatch. She was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church in Fort Wayne, IN. She was also a member of the Hispanic Chamber of Fort Wayne, IN. Above all else, she was a devoted mother and grandmother and loved spending time with her family. Surviving are her children, Sarra (David) Yoder and Sandra Valentic; former spouse, John Norris; grandchildren, Kevin Valentic, Elliott Yoder and Evan Yoder; brothers, Mike (Cathi) Treviño, Mario Treviño and Sergio (Corina) Treviño; sister, Nancy Treviño; and many nieces and nephews. Nora was also preceded in death by her father, Joe A. Trevino. Memorial service 1:00pm, Thursday, January 26, 2023 at Covington Memorial Funeral Home with memorial visitation from 11:00am to 1:00pm prior to the service. Memorial visitation also Wednesday, January 25, 2023 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at Covington Memorial Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association. Entombment in Covington Memorial Gardens.
