Obituary
On Monday, August 23, 2021, Mitzi Jean Travis, loving mother of three, full of sunshine and exuberance, passed away from COVID-19 at the age of 75. Mitzi was born March 3, 1946, in Nashua, New Hampshire and grew up in upper New York State. After graduating from High School, she moved to California and stayed with family while attending beauty college. She married and had three children, Steven Travis, Christopher Travis, and Paula Travis (Bertolini). In 1990, Mitzi and family moved to Crescent City, and she began a thirty-year real estate career and Bayside Realty was her second home. She also owned and operated with her daughter the Anna Wulf House, a local bed and breakfast.
Mitzi was truly one of a kind. Known for being generous and her love for everyone. She loved making deals and would even dream of about showing houses in her sleep. Mitzi was a huge part of our community. She regularly attended local county meetings, helped with 4th of July fundraising and activities. Mitzi was truly a much-loved member of the community. She was an avid flower and plant lover and was a member of the local fuchsia society. Her sparkle went with her everywhere, and she made a positive impact on every life she touched.
Our Mother leaves behind her children and grandchildren, Steven Travis, Christopher Travis, his wife Jill Travis, Paula Bertolini, her husband Tim Bertolini. Grandchildren Riley Travis, Claudia Travis, Christian Banta, Kassidy Travis, and Thomas Travis.
Mitzi will be missed, and although she was called home early, we know she is watching over us, and looking for best real estate that heaven has to offer.
