Obituary
Funeral service for Mickie Jane Pruitt, age 78, of Gadsden, will be at 2pm Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at Crestwood Memorial Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 12pm until the hour of service. Rev. Tommy Ferguson will officiate. Burial will be at Crestwood Cemetery. Crestwood Funeral Home will direct services.
Mrs. Pruitt passed away at her home on Saturday, April 13, 2024 with her husband by her side. She was a lifelong resident of Gadsden and a graduate of Gadsden High School. In her early years she has worked as a beauty operator, but later devoted her time to her family. She enjoyed growing different varieties of green houseplants. She was an avid Elvis Presley fan; she and her husband saw him in concert several times and listened to his music often at home. She and her husband were members of Goodyear Heights Baptist church where they had taken their marriage vows 51 years ago. She was a devoted wife and mother.
Mrs. Pruitt is preceded in death by her parents Wabon and Gladys Eddings.
She is survived by her husband Charles Pruitt; son Aaron Pruitt; and many friends.
