In Loving Memory of

Melba Joyce Dodson

September 16th, 1941 - September 14th, 2021

Obituary

Melba Joyce Dodson of Gresham passed away on September 14, 2021. She was born in Provo, Arkansas and later moved to Oregon in 1961. In Arkansas she was known to her friends and family as Melba and in Oregon she went by her middle name Joyce.

Joyce is survived by her loving husband, Ted, of 44 years; her 2 children, Angie and Bobby, and three stepchildren Terry, Debbie and Tim; her brother Floyd (Sara) Lee of Texas; her niece Anita (James) Sebren of Arkansas; her 5 grandchildren, Naty, Cary, Tommy, Taylor and Makenzie.

Joyce loved her family greatly, who will always remember her for her kind and caring character.  She and Ted had a love for animals which often led to adopting and caring for neighborhood strays – whom quickly became part of the family.  We will all miss her very much.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Heart Association or American Diabetes Association.
