Obituary
Margie (June) Mae Williams, a woman of spirited generosity and loving kindness, passed away peacefully on October 18, 2023, in Brookings, Oregon. Born on June 1, 1925, in Bessemer, Michigan, to Harrold and Lillian Graves. Margie's life was marked by her commitment to her family, her community, and her passions.
Margie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and even great-great-grandmother. She is survived by her sons, John Williams, Steve Williams (Gloria), and Jeff Williams (Wendi), her daughter, Jeani Schulze (Charles), and a multitude of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Arthur (Jeff) Williams, and her cherished grandson, Joshua Hartley.
Her time as a Foster Grandparent was a testament to her generosity and love for children. Her dedication and warmth were recognized when she was awarded the Foster Grandparent of the Year Award. Margie was not just a grandparent to her own family but to many others who were fortunate to have known her.
Margie’s interests were as varied as they were numerous. An avid gardener, she found joy in nurturing plants and watching them grow, much like she nurtured those around her. Margie also found great satisfaction in making blankets, her creations providing warmth and comfort to those she cherished.
She was a loving individual, treating everyone she met with kindness and respect. Her home was always open, her table always full, and her heart always welcoming. She will be deeply missed, but her spirit will continue to inspire and guide those she left behind.
