Obituary

Margie Ann Brummett (Granny), age 78,  passed away on May 10, 2022, peacefully at home surrounded by her family and loved ones.  She was born in Jamestown, TN on January 3, 1944.  

There wasn’t a time in Granny’s life that she wasn’t babysitting little ones. She was a very big part of her children and their children's lives. Margie enjoyed bowling and fishing in her earlier years. She also enjoyed working on jigsaw puzzles and crocheting blankets with her cousin Barb Boles. Her Favorite times were having her family and friends around laughing and enjoying each others company. 


She will be sadly missed by her husband of 54 years, Paul, son Timothy Brummett, daughter Kimberly Hicks (husband, Brent) step-son Don Brummett (wife, Janie).  Her grandchildren Grant Hicks (wife, Keara), Kaitlyn Brummett finance’ Cameron Sager, Amanda Lindsay finance’ Ryan Koenker, Justin Brummett (wife, Brittany) , and Matthew Brummett (wife, Amanda).  Her great-grandchildren Brynlie Hicks, Lucy Lindsay, and Aliza Brummett.  Survived by her two brothers Lee Rains, Bob Rains (wife,Cheryl) and several nieces and nephews, and many close family friends and loved ones.


She was proceeded in death by both her parents Otha and Gladys (Jennings) Rains and her sisters Mildred Terry, Dorothy Sells, and Virginia Crull.

Visitation will be Tuesday, at Garden View Funeral, 10501 State Road 3 from 11-1 pm. Services will at1pm. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
