Obituary

A celebration of life will be held Sunday September 22, 2019 at 3:00 pm at Estacada First Baptist church for longtime Estacada resident Margaret "Mike" White. Mike died as the result of an automobile accident on August 21, 2019. She was 74. This very special celebration will be held on what would have been her 75th birthday. Willamette National Cemetery will be her final resting place.

Margaret Ann Jackson was born September 22, 1944 in Orange, California to Paul and Lucille (Cummings) Jackson. The family moved around during Paul's service in the Marine Corp. until his retirement in 1953 when they settled in Saratoga, California. Mike graduated from Saratoga High School in 1962 and that same year the family moved to Oregon where they made their new home in Estacada. Mike graduated from Pacific School of Beauty in 1964 and began her life long career as a beautician.

On April 20, 1968 Mike and Ed were married in the George Community Church of Estacada. They made their home in Eagle Creek where they raised their daughters. Mike had a beauty shop in her home for many years until she opened the Hair Happening in Estacada. She sold her business, which then became The Lyons Mane where she worked until her retirement in 2014.

Mike's hobbies included decorating, gardening, crocheting and tole painting. Her true love was spending time with her large family. Rocking babies was one of her favorite pastimes.

Mike is preceded in death by her older brother Pat Jackson. Her survivors include her loving husband of 51 years, Ed White; daughters: Misty (Butch) Pletcher, Cami (Joe) Green, Tara (Steve) Twidwell, Brianna (Chris) Cummins; younger brothers: Curt (Cec) Jackson, Jay (Shari) Jackson; 11 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers donations can be sent to St. Jude’s Hospital.
