Obituary
Linda Lou Negley, our beloved matriarch, has embarked on her next adventure at the age of 79, leaving us with a blend of sweet memories and a dash of zest. She was not just a caring mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend but also a woman with great determination.
In her teenage wisdom, Linda set out to conquer the world with her ultimate goals: to be a loving mother and, one day, a doting grandmother. Little did she know, she would surpass these aspirations with flying colors. Her family was her universe, and every moment with them was a treasure trove of joy.
Survived by her son, Chris (Jeanette) Baker, and daughters Jen Ligocki, Sylvia Ballou, Stephanie DeStefano, Melinda (Karl Fancher) Baker-Tosser, and stepson, Chris (April) Negley, Linda leaves behind a legacy of eleven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, ten spirited siblings, and one partially painted house— an ongoing project to keep us busy.
Her life was a tapestry woven with the love she had for her family and friends, sprinkled with her favorite pastimes like solving jigsaw puzzles, conquering crosswords, indulging in shenanigans with her girlfriends, swooning over The Three Tenors, sipping Diet Coke (her elixir of life), embarking on car rides, popping peppermint Mentos, binge-watching her new favorite Madame White Mysteries, exploring Goodwills for hidden treasures, and baking pies for her "favorite" child (a title that rotated with the seasons). Okay, it was Chris!
Linda had a knack for redistributing household items like a pro, always ready to offer what you needed or whisk away what you didn't. Her departure leaves a void that even her legendary reallocation skills couldn't fill.
She departed this world, secure in her convictions that "Chevy's are the best cars," Denzel Washington retains the title of the sexiest man alive, and nothing beats a McDonald’s Diet Coke—the best formulated drink on the planet.
As we bid adieu to Linda, let's remember her not with tears but with laughter, for hers was a life well-lived, filled with love, laughter, and a generous sprinkling of cheekiness that made her uniquely unforgettable.
Funeral services will be announced once finalized by the family.
