Obituary

Larry Lee Epperson, born April 11, 1940 passed away at home September 3, 2021 at the age of 81. Larry lived most of his life near the river in Hiouchi. He graduated from Del Norte High School and went on to earn a degree in physics at Humboldt State University in 1961. After college Larry worked as a Reliability Engineer for Westinghouse in Sunnyvale, CA. His company eventually became Northrup Grumman defense contractor. Larry worked for 37 years and only took 3 days of sick leave his entire career.

After he retired, Larry moved back onto the family homestead. He spent his retirement gardening and working on his property. Larry will be fondly remembered riding on his lawn tractor with his two German Shepard’s trailing. He enjoyed sports. Oakland A's was his favorite team. Larry was a well-loved softball coach. He continued coaching even after his children grew.

Larry is survived by his wife, Susan, his children Matthew Epperson (Jessi), Jill Babbitt, Pauline Cook (Barrett). Grandchildren: Amanda, Amber, Thomas, Emily, Kenisha, Royce, Levi, and Chloe. Sister Marla Ovick (Mike).

Larry was preceded in death by his daughter Marcy Epperson.
