Obituary

Larry Bilyeu, aged 79, passed away suddenly at his home on February 22, 2025.

Born on December 22, 1945, in Portland, Oregon, Larry was the son of Clinton and Helen Bilyeu. He spent his formative years in Portland OR as a member of the Boy Scouts, who he always credited for building excellent character. Later he embarked on a career that spanned nearly 45 years as the owner of his small business, Rainbow Irrigation. On August 24, 1968, Larry married Karen Stanfill in Portland, and together they built a loving family, initially residing in Oregon City before moving to Estacada in 1992 to live and work on a blueberry farm. Their adventurous spirit also took them to Saudi Arabia for a year, where Larry worked on an irrigation project at the airport.

Larry was passionate about many hobbies, including hunting, fishing, and collecting classic cars. He loved his many dogs like family. Larry loved to spend time with his friends on outings or at the coffee shop every morning. He was also a dedicated member of the Estacada Community Fellowship for nearly two decades, contributing to the community with his warm presence.
Those who knew Larry will remember his infectious personality; he had a unique ability to connect with everyone, lighting up any room he entered. Larry had a generous heart for people and loved to give. He had an amazing sense of humor and loved to laugh. Above all, Larry cherished his faith in God, which guided him throughout his life.

Larry is survived by his beloved wife, Karen Bilyeu; his daughters, Jenny Bilyeu, Kayla Pletcher, and Laurie Kojin; four grandchildren, Alex, Brandon, Kevin, and Elaina; as well as three great-grandchildren, Roman, Isaac, and Eli, with another on the way. He is also survived by his sister, Linda Bilyeu, and brother, Mike Bilyeu

We are planning a celebration of life at a later date.
