Obituary

Longtime Estacada resident, KJ Richer, died suddenly on Tuesday, March 23, 2021. He was 69. A graveside service, with military honors, will be held 2:00 PM, Friday, April 16, 2021 at Willamette National Cemetery. KJ Richer was born August 23, 1951 in Albany, California to Kenneth and Leanna (Wilson) Richer. After high school, KJ entered into the US Army during the Vietnam area form 1971 – 1973 then remained in the reserves until 1982. He enjoyed fishing, family trips to the coast, camping, coin and old money collecting and his beloved dog Dixie. He spent time and loved Alaska Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Violet Hutchcraft-Richer; daughters, Julie Jimenez, Tabatha Richer, Tami Richer; sisters, Norma Richer, Brenda Keyworth; brother, James Richer, Marvin Richer; stepsons, Dan Hutchcraft, Jr, Ryan Hutchcraft, Donny Hutchcraft; 19 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild; uncle to 12, great uncle to 21, and great-great uncle to 7. He was preceded in death by brother, Brent and step son, Levi Hutchcraft.
