Obituary
Kenneth Peterman, Mooresville, passed away on the early morning of Friday, March 8, 2024. He was 85 years old. Ken was born in Indianapolis, IN to his parents Clarence and Lucille Peterman. He grew up alongside his 7 brothers and 12 sisters during the time of the great depression. Ken answered the call of this nation when he was drafted into the United States Army and after his period of faithful service was honorably discharged.
Ken worked as a union printer for Typo for 30 years before he transitioned into being an electrician. Ken worked for Peterman Electric for 12 years before officially retiring. Ken enjoyed spending time outdoors. He was an avid hunter and fisherman; he enjoyed going to Lake Freeman with his family on many occasions. Ken was a strong willed man who held a soft place in his heart for his family and for the small animals that lived near his home. Ken’s mental toughness and tender heart will be dearly missed by those he leaves behind.
Kenneth is survived by his children, Jim Peterman, Chuck Peterman and Doug (Ashlee) Peterman; his grandchildren, Christin Peterman, Chelsea Peterman, Kacie Murray, Stasi Hook, Riley Rees and Madison Kingery; his step-grandchildren, Damon Weddle and Haley Goodwin; his 10 great grandchildren; his siblings, Charlene, William, Gloria, Stanley, Kathy, Delores, Mary, Teena, Elaine, Randall, Sharron, Henrietta, and Frederick; his several nieces and nephews.
Kenneth is preceded in death by his parents; his siblings, Jacolyn, Barbara, Daniel, Roselin, Clarence Jr., and Donald.
A visitation for Kenneth will be held on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home from 12:00 pm to 2:00. The funeral service will be on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at 2:00 pm. Burial will immediately follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens at 3:00 pm.
