Justin Thomas Tracy

Obituary

Justin Thomas Tracy, of Indianapolis, passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2024, at the age of 23. Justin was born in Indianapolis, IN, to his parents, Jeffery Scott Tracy and Carianne Stacy (Sanford) Tracy. He graduated from Southport High School, class of 2019, and attended Franklin College, studying business. Justin worked as a driller’s assistant for Patriot Engineering and Environmental, Inc., recently obtaining his CDL permit. He was a multi-sport athlete, dedicating his focus to wrestling and football. Justin’s passion for wrestling led him to join the high school wrestling team, mentoring younger wrestlers for Southport Wrestling Club and bonding with his high school coaches and teammates. During his time at Franklin College, Justin was a member of Franklin College Football and Sigma Alpha Epsilon, a fraternity on campus. Justin’s passions included modifying his truck, working out, and surrounding himself with his friends and family. Anyone who knew Justin knew that he couldn’t be prouder to be ‘Uncle Tracy.’ Justin recently began focusing on bettering himself physically, mentally, and spiritually, with the desire to become the best version of himself.
Justin is survived by his mother, Carianne Tracy; sister, Katelyn Tracy, who is expecting his first nephew, River Shouse; future-brother-in-law, Dayton Shouse and his son Braxton Shouse; grandparents, Debbie and Lee Graham; grandmother, Bev Sanford; his aunts and uncles, Kelley Thompson, Pat (Carrie) Graham, Susan (Tony) Denton, Nicole Gates, Shane (Valerie) Bolden, Rick (Karen) Tracy; his cousins, Chase Thompson, Ella Ruble, Quinn Graham, Heather Gates, Violet Bolden, Scarlett Bolden, Alexis Morris, Addison Jones; and many friends and extended family members.
Justin is preceded in death by his father, Jeffery Tracy; grandfather, Richard Tracy; grandmother, Barbara Tracy; and grandfather, Kerry Sanford.

Visitation services for Justin will be held on Thursday, March 21, 2024, at Forest Lawn Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. The funeral service will follow immediately after.
