In 1954, he moved to Seattle, Washington and shortly after began a lifelong career as a Roofing Contractor. In 1959, Juel purchased a Dairy Farm in Marysville, Washington and continued farming until 1968 and operated his roofing business during that time. 1n 1966 he moved his Dairy operation to Quilcene, Washington. He sold his Jersey herd in 1968 and continued his roofing business working in Port Townsend area and on the entire Olympic Peninsula. Juel also became an auctioneer and had an auction hall in Quilcene and did estate auctions as well. He had antique store and called it Juel's Jenuine Junque and Cassie's Classic Clutter.
