Obituary

Joy Nicole Killian passed away at her home on January 17, 2025 at the age of 34.

Born in Eugene on September 30, 1990, Joy was later embraced by her loving adoptive parents, Barbara and Elery Killian. She spent her formative years in Milwaukie before moving to Salem in 2008, where she proudly graduated from McKay High School. For the past eight to nine years, she found a nurturing home with her caregiver, Amy Howell.

Joy had a passion for drawing and cherished her family and the animals around her. Joy always made sure to send a handmade card or picture to those she loved whether for birthday or special occasion. She wanted to make sure that they knew she was thinking of them, she had a gentle spirit.

Her warmth and creativity touched the lives of many who had the pleasure of knowing her.
She is survived by her devoted mother, Barbara, as well as her siblings: Tanya Killian, Kasey Brown, Kurt Killian, Kyle Killian, and Cierra Killian. Joy's legacy continues through her many nieces and nephews, all of whom will carry her memory forward in their hearts.

Joy Killian will be deeply missed and remembered fondly by all.
