Joseph "Joe" Peter Leskow

Obituary

Joseph “Joe” Peter Leskow, Greenwood, passed away on the early morning of Saturday, July 22, 2023. He was 87 years old. Joe was born in Angola, IN to his parents Peter and Francis Leskow. He grew up on his family’s farm with his siblings. He graduated from Kunckle High School in Kunkle, OH, class of 1953. Joe married his wife, Sandra, on May 13, 1961 and together they shared 43 years of marriage together. Joe answered the call of this nation by enlisting into the United States Army and after his period of faithful service was honorably discharged. 
Joe worked as a District Manager for Beneficial Finance and retired after 40 years of service. Joe was a member of St. Francis and Claire Church for 10 years and was previously a member of St. Barnabus Church with his wife for many years before her passing in 2004. Joe enjoyed watching baseball and going fishing. He was an animal lover and leaves behind a beloved dog, Cece. Joe made sure to keep his family at the center of his life, he loved to spend time with them whenever he had the opportunity. Joe’s sense of humor and outgoing personality will be dearly missed by those he leaves behind.
Joe is survived by his children, Susan (Chuck) Barr and Jennifer (Rod) Brummett; his grandchildren, Charles (Sara) Barr, Jessica (Joe) Donohue, Brittany (Clint) Seib, Nicholas (Hallie) Brummett, and Jacob Brummett; his great grandchildren, Jack, Benjamin, Elliot, Teddy, Zoe, Charlie, Lucas, Kennady, Roen, and Tiley; his siblings, Grace Kiessling, Nellie Brown and Roland Leskow; his several nieces and nephews. 
Joe is preceded in death by his parents; his Wife Sandra (Tiley) Leskow; his brothers, Phil Leskow and Richard Leskow.
Joe's Memorial Mass will be on Monday 7-31-23 at St Francis and Clare at 10 am followed by his Celebration of life on 7-31-23 at Dye's Walk from 5-8pm.
