Obituary

Jo Ann Thirsk was born on January 24, 1937 in Winter Haven, Florida. She has one brother Charles Thirsk. After graduating high school JoAnn went to work for the Civil Service. It was while there she met Harry Marpole. The two were soon married and had three children. While Harry was active military they lived in Lakeland, Florida until 1977 when they moved to DeLeon Springs, Florida. They lived there for the next 43 years.

JoAnn enjoyed her church family, watching football (mainly Miami Dolphins) and her family.

JoAnn is preceded in death by her parents, Stanley Thirsk and Inez Sigler, and her loving husband Harry Marpole.

JoAnn is survived by her brother Charles Thirsk. Three children, Steve, Cheryl, and Tommy. 7 grandchildren and 3 great-children.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 23 at 10:00 and the service will be at 11:00 at  Lohman’s Funeral Home in DeLand.
