Obituary

John Hampson passed away on December 9, 2022, at the age of 81, surrounded by family, in his hometown of Crescent City.
John and his wife, RuthAnn, were the owners and operators of the former Crescent City business, Enderts Distributing, Inc. Prior to being a business owner, John had jobs at Countrymaid Dairy, Texaco, United Bank, and Wakefield Garbage Service. He also served as a volunteer firefighter for 25 years. After working for his business for 20 years, John retired, yet continued to work doing candy orders for the Fort Dick Market. He also spent countless hours volunteering at the Rowdy Creek Fish Hatchery, Ace Hardware every Tuesday stocking shelfs.
Some of his hobbies included socializing with other business owners to solve the world’s problems, fishing, gold dredging, watching football, collecting firewood, gardening, and spending time with his beloved family.
John is survived by his wife, RuthAnn Hampson, son, Robert Hampson, daughter, Cathy Hampson, grandkids, Kyle Hampson, Heather Friedrich, Lindsay Erb, and Lacey Erb, great-grandkids, Brexlee Hampson, Hayden Gaddis, Sawyer Friedrich, and Parker Friedrich. And tons of very special friends.
This will be a celebration service and potluck.
