Obituary
Jimmy Mac Dorman, 75, passed away at his home, after an extended illness, with his wife by his side on Sunday, April 14. He was born July 26, 1948, in Tupelo, MS to the late L.V. Dorman and Frances Cooper McKenzie Dorman. Jimmy graduated from Tupelo High School, class of 1966. He served our country in the Army/Air Force until he was medically discharged.
He married the love of his life Patricia Ann Dorman, November, 25th 1966. Together they shared 58 years of life and 4 children.
He grew up worshiping at Temple Baptist Church. He dedicated his life to the Lord, along with his wife, in 1971. He worked his younger years at Penn Tire before beginning his career in the pawn shop and jewelry business. He was widely known as “Diamond Jim”.
Jimmy never met a stranger. After retirement, Jimmy spent most lunches at Shockleys, until it closed. He then spent his afternoons at Scarlets Donuts. He enjoyed those days with his lifelong friends. His heart was with his family. He was their support group, strength, provider, biggest cheerleader and most importantly, he loved them big!
