Obituary

Jeffrey (Jeff) Knox Clement

Jeffrey Knox Clement, of Daytona Beach, passed away suddenly on July 20, 2024 at his childhood home. Jeff, aka "Eddie", was born on July 4, 1960, in Daytona Beach and was truly a firecracker baby. His keen wit, expansive personality and love of life were his defining characteristics. His greatest loves were surfing, dirt biking, friendships and most of all, the center of his world, his daughter Emily. Jeff spent over twenty years as a dedicated volunteer for the North Central Florida (NCFL) Eastern Surfing (ESA) district. He was a champion for promoting kids (groms) entry into the world of surfing and was a true ambassador for the sport. Jeff had innumerable friends and touched so many people during his life. He had such an amazing personality that even when he made you mad, you could never stay mad for long. He will be truly missed and leave a hole in the hearts of many. The outpouring of unconditional love after his passing has been amazing. Jeff is predeceased by his parents, Ann and John Clement, known by his many friends as "Jack and Ann". He is survived by his daughter Emily Caroline Clement and her mother Ann Pierre as well as his sister Ainsley Clement (Thomas Burmeister). A paddle out is scheduled for 11 AM on Saturday, August 3 at Ponce Inlet during the NCFL ESA contest #5. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, September 7, 2024 at Salty Church, 221 Vining Ct, Ormond Beach, FL 32176. A paddle out will follow 30 minutes after the service at the Granada Beach Approach, 21 Ocean Shore Blvd, Ormond Beach, FL 32176, weather permitting.
