Obituary
Jayson L. Mode passed away April 14th, 2022, at the age of 47. As a lifelong resident of Del Norte County, Jayson enjoyed fishing, camping, and swimming in the Smith River. He was an avid kayaker. He always enjoyed spending time with his friends and family on the river. He was also a talented musician and music lover.
Jayson was a good friend, brother, father, and son. When he told you that he had your back, he meant it, and would go the extra distance to make sure you were covered.
Jayson’s passing was unexpected. He got sick fast and without warning. Just a short time after a month of being sick, he passed away at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital. He was surrounded by family and close friends at the time of his passing.
Jayson was preceded in death by his Grandpa Joe Stow, Grandma Etta Stow, Grandpa Johnny Mode, Mother Judy Wangerin, Step Father Jim Wagnerin, Aunt Nicki Payne, Aunt Paula Holcomb, Uncle Johnny Mode Jr., Brother Brian Mode, and Nephew Azrail Mode.
Jayson is survived by his Grandma Jacky Mode, Father Larry Mode, Aunt Susie Mode-Hackett, Aunt Vicki Mode-Reed, Uncle Doyle Holcomb, Brother Britton Mode, Nephew Mykah Mode, Niece Taysha Mode-Robinson, Son Sky Mode, Daughter Silver Mode-Vanwormer, Daughter Brooklyn Mode, Son Jayzen Mode, Daughter Ivy Mode, and several other family members and close friends.
Jayson will be missed by all who knew him, and he will never be forgotten. Until we meet again Bro, fly high with the angels and know that you left your mark on this earth in a good way.
