Obituary
Estacada Resident, Gloria Jeanne Darter, died in the hospital on Friday, January 28, 2022. She was 75 years old. A celebration of her life will be held on February 5, at 10 AM at Estacada Funeral Chapel. Gloria Jeanne Leaman was born on May 10, 1946, in Charles City, Iowa, to Richard and June (Stewart) Leaman. She was raised in Iowa until she was in her late teens, when she moved to Minnesota and Arizona, before settling in Oregon. She worked cleaning houses and apartments, before starting a job at Owens-Illinois Glass Manufacturing, where she would work for almost 40 years before retiring in 2006. Gloria enjoyed reading, collecting, and spending time with her family. She collected many different knick-knacks, but had a special place in her heart for anything Elvis related. Gloria is survived by her mother, June Leaman; children, Jody (Rick) White, Troy Darter, and Jennifer Hochstrasser; siblings, Judy Garl, Nancy Walker, Jerry Leaman, Peggy Hanson, Rita Fuller, and Richard Leaman; grandchildren, Jessica Cox, Brandon White, Kristin White, Matthew Hochstrasser, Taylor Hochstrasser, and Jordan Hochstrasser; six great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father, Richard Leaman.
