Obituary

Gerald Jacobson (Jerry) passed away peacefully October 29, 2025. He was born in Pittsburg, PA on March 19, 1939 to Arthur and Martha Jacobson. He grew up in a rural area on the outskirts of Homestead, PA in a house his grandfather built. He graduated from Homestead High School in 1957. He joined the US Navy soon after graduation and served on the USS Casa Grande. After leaving the Navy he moved to the Los Angeles area and began the process of becoming a Journeyman Electrician, a trade he excelled at for over 30 years. Jerry married Sally Heitzman on October 24, 1964, and they enjoyed 61 years together. Their family grew with the births of Jeffrey, Todd, Leasa and Daniel. He retired in 1995 and with Sally moved to Sandy, OR.

Jerry had many interests and hobbies including taking their recreational vehicle on road trips, vacationing with family, carving realistic birds and ducks, water color painting, model ship building, and numerous artistic projects he and Sally dreamt up.   

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, and his daughter Leasa. He is survived by his loving wife Sally, as well as his sons Jeffrey, Todd, and Daniel, as well as his sisters Joyce Grazetti and Kathy Voytko. At the time of his passing, he had eleven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
