In Loving Memory of

George David Jarvis

April 24th, 1944 - July 27th, 2021

Obituary

It is with a heavy heart we announce the passing of George David (Dave) Jarvis on July 27 2021, loving husband and father of two sons, passed away at the age of 77.

Dave was born April 24, 1944 in Portland Oregon to Ruby and Junius Jarvis. He was the Great Grandson of Oregon’s 1st Governor John Whiteaker.

Unfulfilled with high school and eager for life to start he joined the Army serving two consecutive tours in Vietnam. He returned to Portland before moving to Seattle to work at Fred Meyer as Assistant Manager and meeting his future wife Terry Lee Meehan. They married in January 1969 and raised two sons David G. Jarvis and John W. Jarvis.

He took night classes and re-enlisted in the Army as a computer programmer retiring on May 1, 1986.  He then went to work for BPA as a Computer Programmer retiring on 9/30/2009.

He is survived by his wife Terry, sons David and John, sister Genny Goodwin, brother Don Jarvis, six grandchildren, six great grandchildren and five nieces.  We were all blessed by being a part of his life.

There will be a graveside ceremony where he will be laid to rest at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday 8/17/21 at Willamette National Cemetery.

♡May He Rest in Peace♡
