Obituary

Longtime Eagle Creek resident, Fermin “Mikey” Martinez Vega died in an automobile accident Saturday, February 29, 2020 in Eagle Creek. He was 50 years old. A funeral service will be held 1:00 PM, Saturday, March 7, 2020 at Estacada Funeral Chapel. He will be buried in Mexico. Fermin Martinez Vega was born October 9, 1969 in Acatlan de Osorio, Puebla, Mexico to Fausto Martinez Roman and Mercedes Vega Martinez. At age 18, he moved to Eagle Creek to be with family. Mikey worked on Christmas Tree farms most of his working career. On September 25, 2015, he married Angela Loftin. They continued to live in the Eagle Creek area until his death. His greatest joy was baseball, being with friends and family and being in the outdoors. Survivors include his wife, Angela Loftin; brothers, Antonio, Fausto and Marcos.
