In Loving Memory of

Evelyn Jean Walker

July 10th, 1938 - March 25th, 2021

Obituary

Evelyn “Jean” Walker entered this world on July 10th, 1938.  She was born to be a wife and mother.  Jean’s life work was showing her family that love and kindness transcends all, and she imparted those lessons effortlessly and with frequency.  She created a home that welcomed all, gave grace to those who needed it, and never left a belly or soul unfed.  A home filled with music, words, and wonder, where ideas and questions were embraced, and the smell of fresh bread baking was as common as the warmth of her smile. She slipped the bonds of this world March 25th, 2021.

Jean is preceded in death by her son Mark, and survived by her loving husband Bob, her children David, Bobbi, Carrie, Scott and Kyle and her extended family of grand and great-grandchildren.    She is loved and treasured by all who knew her.  She is kept in our heart and souls.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Jean's name to the American Cancer Society.

Jean was such a beautiful soul. I’ll never forget the first time I met her when we came to Halfway. She made us each our own favorite pie to make sure we were included. She was inclusive of everyone and it was obvious how much she loved her family. She will be missed. Love you all, Shan. XOXO Shan Evans
